Tribute to Teachers

Description

A sonnet written in Shakespearean style to pay tribute to my teachers who proved a guiding star for me.

This sonnet is for all teachers who are doing prophetic duty, especially for Prof. Dr.Zafar Iqbal,Prof. Dr.Saiqa Imtiaz Asif,Prof Dr. Ayaz Afsar and Prof.Imran Raza.

SONNET:

TO MY TEACHERS

With a special power, thou art gifted
In thy all life, a sacred mission;
One to another, knowledge is shifted
Away from pleasure, no worldly ambition.
Patiently ignores what prejudice says,
The only mission is, to spread light;
Of hope and vigor and love always,
A lesson of honor, wrong and right.
Aware of the fact, precious is the time,
Keen to know about something else;
Spend all nights with books in prime,
Soothe the youth, and with life fills.
Like flowers art, the men of letters
Whenever touched, sweet smell shatters.
